And then they're given second and third and fourth chances "to save the marriage". Forget it. There are all kinds of things that go wrong with marriages and I'd jump right on the "marriage counselor, therapy, talking" bandwagon and say if you each other, keep trying. But not physical violence, period. If he's hitting you, he doesn't you, that's all there is to it, really. You wouldn't be the first woman who married a charmer and found out he was another person entirely in private. The most important thing isn't saving the marriage. It's saving you. You need to get in touch with a domestic violence place/hotline/in your area (look it up) and talk, and listen.   I am a gregarious, humorous, guy with many interests. I like to think of myself as intelligent and sane; although my friends tell me that one of those is up for debate. I have a Master's degree in a hard discipline, if that helps you figure out which one they were talking about. :-) For the record, I do have many friends, but I am a transplant to the area and all of my friends live elsewhere. Why bring this up? Because despite the fact that my friends me "strange"..."crazy"...*ahem* "more than slightly perverted"...I actually DO have close friends. I may be all of those things my friends me, but my friends also me "funny" and "friendly." I am my own person, and will accept you as you are as well. I am a music LOVER, both as a(n amateur) player and listener. I have geek/nerd-like qualities. An avid reader, I also love to have new experiences and try new things.
